This is the right time and the right place to begin collecting art. You can't go wrong!! One artist you need to know about is skyrocketing local star super talented Pilsen artist Maria Tirabassi, whose work is masterful, whimsical and prolific - her images are completely captivating. She's been showing at the Market for three years, but this year she's caught fire and if you don't have one of her pieces yet, we suggest you buy one now while they're still affordable. Also joining the party again, another talent discovered under our midst at the Chicago Antique Market, self proclaimed outsider artist Brian Spruth and his psychedelic pen and ink drawings featuring giant dragonflys, tiny but massive ant colonies, killer scenes of Chicago and lastly but not leastly, comic book style erotica. Absolutely brilliant!

And then there's the art you decorate with -- Roma Patel can hand paint and gold leaf, trim and
silkscreen your walls and ceilings for the most luscious Bollywood bedroom. Like vintage advertising posters? Then visit dealers Richard Kasvin and William Nawrocki inside Plumbers Hall.

You'll find the Chicago Antique Market on the 1350 Block of West Randolph inside the historic (and air conditioned)Plumbers Hall. Dealers are indoors and outdoors and the Market goes on rain or shine!

Market hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 27-28. Admission is $8 for adults, free for children 12 and under. Early outdoor buying available for $20 at 7:30am or with the Season's Pass on Saturdays only. FREE ROUND-TRIP trolley service is available from Water Tower Pumping Station on Pearson just east of Michigan Avenue every hour beginning at 9am.
